Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor food safety standards and compliance, ensuring all food handling and preparation procedures meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to promote healthy eating and food safety practices in the community.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition into patient care plans, enhancing overall health outcomes.
  • Analyze nutritional information and food labels to guide consumers in making informed dietary choices.
  • Conduct regular audits of food service operations to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and trends in nutrition and food safety to provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Utilize technology and software to track dietary habits and food safety compliance, optimizing program effectiveness.
  • Advise on menu planning and recipe development that aligns with nutritional guidelines and food safety regulations.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, or a related field is essential for foundational knowledge.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a nutrition or food safety role, demonstrating practical application of skills.
  • Certification as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or equivalent is highly preferred to validate expertise.
  • Experience in community outreach or education is beneficial for effectively communicating nutrition principles.
  • Familiarity with local and international food safety regulations is crucial for compliance and best practices.

  • Proficiency in nutritional analysis software and food safety management systems is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights for dietary improvements.
