Almarai Food and Beverage company in Saudi Arabia is hiring a Laboratory Manager to manage the Quality Control Team :

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Quality Control Team: Oversee daily operations of the quality control laboratory, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Implement Advanced Techniques: Introduce and adopt the latest techniques and technologies in quality control and food safety.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with industry standards, including HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, and AIBI certifications.
  • Quality Improvement: Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies for quality assurance processes.
  • Operational Problem Solving: Address and resolve quality and hygiene issues in the poultry processing environment.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct thorough data analysis and generate detailed reports to support decision-making.
  • Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and management to the quality control team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor team members on best practices in quality control and food safety.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality standards.

Job Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the poultry processing plant industry or a similar environment.
  • Quality Management Expertise: Proven ability to work with quality management systems, with a focus on quality control aspects.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated experience in solving quality and hygiene operational issues.
  • HACCP Proficiency: Strong proficiency with HACCP systems like HACCP Level 4.
  • Formal Certifications: Possession of formal qualifications in ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, and AIBI.
  • Knowledge of Standards: In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Leadership Abilities: Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis and report writing.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
