An Education Institution in Ajman UAE is hiring an HSE Officer with the following experience in School health and Safety assessments and practices:

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and guidelines by local regulations and best practices.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of the school premises to identify potential hazards, risks, or non-compliance issues.
Collaborate with relevant departments to establish and maintain a culture of safety and environmental awareness among staff, students, and visitors.

Organize and deliver training sessions or workshops on health, safety, and environmental topics to educate and raise awareness within the school community.
Investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses, and prepare detailed reports outlining causes and recommending preventive measures.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives, making necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring the school’s compliance.

Manage emergency response procedures, including drills and protocols, to effectively handle crises or unforeseen events.
Liaise with external regulatory bodies, contractors, or consultants regarding health, safety, and environmental matters as necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent in health, safety, or environmental management.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational institution or related industry.

Strong knowledge of UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
