Emirates Flight catering in Dubai UAE is looking for a Food Technologist with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct research on global consumer trends and emerging food technologies to develop innovative food products as a Food Technologist.
- Design, test, and implement cutting-edge culinary concepts that elevate customer experience.
- Organize and coordinate trials for new menu items and ensure seamless menu launches.
- Develop and refine production processes to maintain consistency and improve customer satisfaction as an experienced Food Technologist.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend equipment modifications.
- Ensure all processes align with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and analyze product characteristics, including shelf life, to meet high-quality benchmarks.
- Enforce hygiene and food safety protocols throughout the production cycle.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with Emirates Flight Catering’s standards, an essential task for a Food Technologist.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate innovative solutions into product development.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new ideas into production strategies.
- Lead team initiatives to drive innovation and enhance overall production performance.
- Maintain accurate records of experimental data for quality audits and future references, an important duty of a Food Technologist.
- Develop a detailed library of findings to support training programs and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide analytical insights to improve product performance and optimize production workflows.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Nutrition & Health, or a related field; crucial for a Food Technologist.
- Industry certifications in HACCP or food safety standards (preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a large-scale food production facility.
- At least 3 years in a similar role with responsibilities in food product innovation and quality assurance, typical for a Food Technologist.
- Experience in aviation catering or hospitality (advantageous).
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Expertise in production process optimization and troubleshooting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office for data management, analysis, and presentation.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess and improve product and process performance.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively, essential for a Food Technologist.
