A Hospitality and Catering Catering Group in Doha, Qatar is hiring a Food Safety Officer for their Hotel Brand with the following:

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for maintaining the highest level of Food Hygiene and Safety standards in the hotel.
  • Assist the Hygiene & HACCP Manager with the day-to-day requirements of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha.
  • Work mostly in the production areas, monitoring that food safety procedures are being followed.
  • Ensure proper documentation and records are completed by the responsible parties.
  • Help maintain the ISO 22000:2005 certification in the F&B Department such as food production area and all areas involved in the Food chain.
  • Problem-solving as relates to food and safety issues.
  • Perform and record Food Safety inspections report any irregularities and take proper corrective action.
  • Assist with enforcing food safety programs and procedures, GMP policy and personal hygiene policies.
  • Responsible for quality and safety checks for all raw and prepared food products.
  • Verify and communicate to appropriate departments any findings as it relate to food safety and/or quality issues.
  • Report and assist with correcting any unsanitary conditions in food preparation and food storage/receiving area.
  • Report any required maintenance/replacement of food preparation equipment, surfaces and tools.
  • Assist in maintaining, and updating all records, manuals, training procedures, and product specification books.
  • Assist with preparation for any food safety audits.
  • Conduct supplier audits, fill the supplier audit reports and evaluate suppliers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food premises.

Qualifications

  • Should be a HACCP/Food Safety Level 3 trained.
  • Work experience of at least 3 years in a similar field is needed.
  • Applicants should possess relevant educational qualifications.
  • Experience in inspecting Food premises, writing reports, and filling the checklists.
  • Should possess a track record of food safety and hygiene within the food industry.
  • Specialized qualifications in food safety and hygiene will be an advantage.
  • Should possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise with all departments.
  • Very good computer skills.
