A Bakery and Kitchen Industry in Doha, Qatar is looking for a Food Safety Officer with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure Compliance: Monitor and ensure that all food safety regulations and health and safety standards are strictly followed across all processes.
- Maintain Hygiene Standards: Regularly inspect facilities to ensure that hygiene practices are upheld, identifying and addressing any areas of concern.
- Monitor Food Processes: Oversee food production and handling processes to ensure compliance with safety protocols, from raw material receipt to final product delivery.
- Implement Safety Protocols: Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to prevent foodborne illnesses and contamination.
- Oversee Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that all products meet established safety and quality standards.
- Conduct Audits: Perform regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with food safety regulations, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
Job Qualifications
- Health & Safety Skills: Strong knowledge of health, hygiene, and food safety practices, with a focus on preventing foodborne illnesses.
- Food Technology Experience: Proven experience in food technology and quality assurance within a food production environment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations and protocols, ensuring compliance across all operations.
- Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, capable of identifying and mitigating potential safety risks.
- Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate across departments.
- Certification: Certification in food safety management (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) is preferred.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
