Al Adil Trading in Dubai, UAE is looking for a Food Safety Officer with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Inspection:
- Conduct routine inspections of food manufacturing, storage, and retail facilities to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collect and analyze food samples to identify potential risks or contamination.
- Regulation Enforcement:
- Enforce food safety standards and regulations as per Dubai Municipality guidelines.
- Issue permits and registrations for small food businesses, ensuring they meet required safety standards.
- Training and Education:
- Provide training to employees on proper food handling, storage, preparation, and disposal techniques.
- Develop and deliver food safety awareness programs to enhance compliance within the organization.
- Investigation and Reporting:
- Investigate food safety complaints, non-conformities, and incidents to identify root causes.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and food safety incidents.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and local food safety regulations.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with food business operators, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to address food safety concerns.
- Support internal and external audits and inspections.
Job Qualifications: Food Safety Officer
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Certification in HACCP, ISO 22000, or Food Safety Management Systems is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory roles in the food industry.
- Experience with Dubai Municipality regulations and local food safety requirements is an advantage.
