A Food and Beverages Company processing Meal Services in Rhode Island, US is hiring a Food safety manager with the following:

Job Responsibilities – Food Safety Manager

  • Design and implement Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Develop and deploy the SSOP Program
  • Advise upon and improve current raw and RTE sanitation controls
  • Advise on product flow within the facility to reduce the risk of cross-contamination
  • Enhance existing SOPs to improve cooling and time-temp safety standards
  • Manage product issues and complaints related to food safety to resolution. Ensure proper corrective actions and preventive actions are tracked and closed out properly.
  • Advise upon, and carry out food safety training for all employees handling food.
  • Manage sanitation programs including but not limited to pest control, chemical control, and cleaning lists.
  • Maintain all company certifications (ServSafe).

Food Safety Manager Qualifications

  • Subject matter expertise in Food Safety, including HACCP Certification, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Food Safety Manager Certifications.
  • 5+ years of kitchen management experience, ERP solutions preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Track record of strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities.
