Food Safety and Hygiene Officer wanted at leading recreational Club in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi UAE with knowledge of UAE Food Safety Laws
Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all food safety and hygiene practices comply with UAE federal and local health regulations.
- Staff Training and Awareness: Develop and conduct regular training sessions on food safety, hygiene practices, and emergency response for all food handling staff.
- Routine Risk Assessments: Perform ongoing risk assessments to identify and address hazards in food preparation, storage, and service areas.
- Incident Investigation and Corrective Action: Lead investigations for any food safety-related incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Safety Audits: Conduct and document regular audits of food facilities, monitoring for adherence to health and safety standards as required by UAE authorities.
- Regulatory Reporting: Maintain detailed records on safety incidents, training sessions, and compliance audits for presentation to UAE regulatory bodies.
- Emergency Preparedness Planning: Design and implement emergency response plans for critical situations, including food contamination, pest infestations, and fire safety protocols.
- Promoting a Safety Culture: Foster a workplace culture of safety by encouraging open communication on food safety concerns and sharing best practices across teams.
- Compliance with UAE Food Safety Regulations: Ensure a strong understanding and application of UAE regulatory standards, particularly those from Dubai Municipality and other relevant health authorities.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Oversee the appropriate use of PPE in food handling and preparation areas.
- Sanitation and Hygiene Standards: Implement and monitor rigorous cleaning and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination and maintain hygienic standards.
- Safe Chemical Handling: Manage safe use, storage, and disposal of cleaning agents and other chemicals used in food handling areas to comply with UAE guidelines.
