A Catering Company in Abu Dhabi, UAE is looking for a Food Hygiene Officer with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of food handling, preparation, and storage areas to ensure compliance with HACCP, EMS, OSHAD, QMS, and QHSE standards.
- Implement and maintain food safety management systems, including HACCP, ensuring all processes align with regulatory and company standards.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on food safety practices, hygiene standards, and proper sanitation procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of food safety programs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and submit detailed audit reports, highlighting findings, and non-compliances, and recommending corrective measures.
- Lead and coordinate efforts to resolve food safety issues, ensuring swift and effective solutions are implemented.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and international food safety regulations, ensuring compliance within all catering operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of food safety practices across all aspects of the business.
- Oversee the documentation and record-keeping of all food safety and hygiene activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- Support the continuous improvement of the company’s food safety culture, promoting awareness and best practices among all staff members.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospitality and catering operations, with a focus on food safety in a similar position.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with HACCP certification and at least HABC Level certification.
- Proven experience in the implementation and maintenance of EMS, OSHAD, QMS, and QHSE practices.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Office applications.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Fluency in both written and verbal English.
- Confident, strong personality with the ability to resolve issues and handle pressure effectively.
- Exceptional report writing and training skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Dynamic, young professional who is a team player and eager to contribute to the company’s success.
