A Healthcare Catering Industry is hiring a Dietician with the following:

Responsibilities

  • Develop personalized and nutritionally balanced meal plans for patients based on their medical conditions, dietary needs, and restrictions within the healthcare catering environment.
  • Conduct nutritional assessments and evaluations of patients to determine their dietary requirements and recommend appropriate dietary interventions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide nutrition counselling and education to patients and their families on healthy eating habits, therapeutic diets, and lifestyle modifications.

  • Monitor and track patients’ dietary progress, making adjustments to meal plans as needed to ensure optimal nutrition and support their treatment goals.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to ensure that meals meet the prescribed nutritional standards, portion sizes, and dietary guidelines for different medical conditions.
  • Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques, portion control, and special dietary considerations.
  • Stay updated with the latest nutritional research, trends, and developments to enhance the quality of dietary services offered in the healthcare catering setting.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement nutrition-related policies, protocols, and programs aimed at promoting overall wellness and health among patients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients’ nutritional assessments, meal plans, and interventions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute expertise on nutritional aspects of patient care and support interdisciplinary collaboration in healthcare settings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree may be preferred.
  • State licensure or certification as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or equivalent credential.
  • Experience working as a dietitian in a healthcare setting or catering environment, preferably with experience in meal planning and nutrition counselling.

  • Expertise in conducting nutritional assessments, developing individualized meal plans, and evaluating dietary needs based on various medical conditions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nutritional principles, therapeutic diets, and dietary guidelines for different diseases and conditions.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and kitchen staff to convey dietary recommendations and instructions.
  • Proficiency in analyzing food composition, calculating nutritional values, and interpreting dietary data.
  • Ability to stay updated with current research, trends, and advancements in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
