The Hotel Hygiene Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards across all hotel kitchens, restaurants, food & beverage outlets, storage areas, and public spaces. This role ensures full compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, HACCP guidelines, food safety standards, and hotel policies.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct regular hygiene audits and sanitation inspections in kitchens, restaurants, buffet areas, and food storage facilities.
- Ensure strict compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) procedures and Dubai Municipality food safety regulations.
- Monitor food handling practices, temperature control, cold storage, thawing procedures, and cross-contamination prevention.
- Supervise cleaning and sanitation of food preparation areas, kitchen equipment, utensils, and service areas.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans based on hygiene inspection findings.
- Prepare detailed hygiene audit reports, inspection checklists, and compliance documentation.
- Conduct staff training sessions on food hygiene, personal hygiene, sanitation procedures, and food safety awareness.
- Coordinate with Executive Chefs, F&B Managers, and kitchen teams to maintain hygiene compliance.
- Oversee pest control programs, waste management systems, and cleaning schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of hygiene inspections, training programs, pest control logs, and temperature monitoring reports.
Job Qualifications – Hotel Hygiene Officer
- Minimum 2 years of UAE hotel experience as a Hygiene Officer, Food Safety Officer, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, Dubai Municipality Food Code, GMP, and food safety regulations in UAE.
- Experience conducting internal audits, hygiene inspections, and compliance checks.
- Good communication skills with the ability to conduct staff training sessions.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, reporting tools).
- Certification in Food Safety, HACCP Level 3, PIC, or Hygiene Management is an added advantage.
