Vacancy for an Assistant Hygiene Officer in Dubai for a well-established hotel/hospitality organisation. The ideal candidate will support hygiene operations, ensure food safety compliance, and maintain high sanitation standards across all departments in line with HACCP and local health regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Hygiene Officer in implementing and maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards across all hotel areas
- Conduct regular hygiene inspections in kitchens, restaurants, housekeeping areas, storage rooms, and staff facilities
- Monitor food safety practices, cleanliness levels, and pest control procedures
- Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines, local health authority regulations, and hotel standard operating procedures
- Prepare detailed hygiene inspection and audit reports and follow up on corrective actions
- Train staff on food hygiene, personal hygiene, sanitation procedures, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate hygiene documentation, records, checklists, and logs
- Support internal and external health inspections, audits, and regulatory visits
- Ensure proper storage, handling, labeling, and usage of cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines
- Coordinate with different departments to continuously improve hygiene and sanitation performance
Qualifications
- 3–4 years of experience in a similar role within the hotel or hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards
- Good communication, training, and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple departments
- Certification in Food Safety or Hygiene is an added advantage
