Quality Controller wanted in a leading food service distributor for Catering Hospitality sectors in Dubai UAE with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Support production teams in achieving company quality and operational goals by clearly communicating expectations, planning activities, monitoring performance, and evaluating results
- Implement and monitor quality improvement strategies to enhance seafood product safety, consistency, and compliance
- Manage day-to-day quality operations during assigned shifts, resolving quality and standard-related issues efficiently with the chefs.
- Ensure completion of daily quality documentation, records, logs, and reports in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with Production Supervisors to establish efficient workflows and ensure timely completion of production activities.
- Catering Quality Controller coordinate sampling and laboratory analysis with approved internal or external laboratories and maintain accurate testing records
- Prepare, review, and maintain product specification sheets for all seafood items in chef middleeast.
- Support the Production Manager during customer audits, inspections, and factory visits
- Conduct and maintain supplier evaluations, approvals, and performance records
- Inspect and receive raw materials, packaging, and finished goods in line with production requirements and defined quality standards
- Provide guidance and counseling to employees to improve productivity, hygiene practices, and workflow efficiency as Catering Quality Controller.
- Develop and maintain professional work schedules aligned with production demands
- Collaborate with the Production Manager and Category Manager to identify gaps and implement continuous improvement plans
- Ensure strict adherence to HACCP, GMP, and food safety procedures throughout the seafood processing operations
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a Catering Quality Controller in the seafood industry (mandatory)
- HACCP Level 3 certification (mandatory)
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Processing, Microbiology, or a related discipline from a recognized institution (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, seafood quality standards, and Dubai Municipality requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- High level of attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work flexible hours and extended shifts when required to meet operational and project deadlines.
