A Dates Procesiing Factory in Ajman, UAE is looking for a Quality Controller Officer with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed daily quality control reports, documenting results from inspections, laboratory analyses, production checks, and quality deviations to support continuous improvement.
  • Monitor production lines throughout all processing stages to ensure every batch meets the company’s quality specifications, food safety standards, and customer requirements.
  • Review and execute production orders accurately, ensuring correct parameters are followed for sorting, cleaning, grading, and packaging of dates.
  • Conduct laboratory tests—including moisture analysis, texture testing, microbial checks, and physical/chemical evaluations—to validate product quality and consistency.

  • Inspect incoming raw materials to verify supplier compliance and ensure only high-quality dates are accepted for production.
  • Perform in-process quality checks such as temperature monitoring, equipment sanitation verification, weight checks, and packaging integrity assessments.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, GMP guidelines, hygiene practices, and factory-wide food safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with the documentation/editing team to prepare and maintain certification files, audit documents, test records, and quality manuals.
  • Identify non-conformities, report deviations to the QC Manager, and support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) implementation.
  • Assist in internal audits, external audits, and customer inspections by preparing files, samples, and relevant documents.
  • Verify equipment calibration status, ensure proper maintenance of QC tools, and report any malfunction or calibration issues.
  • Monitor cleaning and sanitization activities, ensuring all production areas meet hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and logistics teams to address quality issues, improve processes, and enhance final product quality.
  • Maintain well-organized retain samples, laboratory records, QC logs, and traceability documentation for every production batch.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing observations, suggesting improvements, and helping implement updated QC practices.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or any related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in quality control within a food manufacturing environment (dates processing experience is an added advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of QC procedures, sampling methods, laboratory testing, and documentation practices.
  • Understanding of food safety standards such as HACCP, GMP, and ISO requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify quality deviations quickly.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced production settings and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Proficiency in report writing, data recording, and basic computer applications.
