Food Safety Consultant Dubai, UAE is looking for a Food Safety Trainer in Dubai and with the following:
Job Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Development
- Design, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive food safety training programs for food handlers, supervisors, and managers.
- Conduct Basic Food Safety, Person in Charge (PIC), HACCP, ISO 22000, and Internal Auditor training sessions according to Dubai Municipality and international requirements.
- Customize training content to meet the specific operational and regulatory needs of each client.
- Continuously update training modules, presentations, and handouts based on new food safety laws, standards, and best practices.
- Evaluate trainee performance through assessments, quizzes, and feedback forms to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Provide coaching and on-the-job mentoring to client staff to help maintain long-term compliance and hygiene practices.
Food Safety Auditing & Consultancy
- Perform comprehensive second-party food safety audits in compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and local authority standards (Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi Agriculture & Food Safety Authority, Sharjah Municipality, etc.).
- Identify non-conformities, potential hazards, and areas of improvement across food processing, handling, storage, and distribution activities.
- Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, root causes, and practical recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist clients in developing and implementing Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) aligned with ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and HACCP requirements.
- Guide clients through certification readiness and external audit preparation by international certification bodies.
- Conduct gap analyses and risk assessments to evaluate compliance with food safety laws and regulatory requirements.
HACCP & ISO 22000 System Implementation
- Develop, document, and implement HACCP plans, FSMS manuals, SOPs, and records tailored to different food sectors (hospitality, catering, bakery, meat processing, retail, etc.).
- Facilitate Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) studies with cross-functional client teams.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented systems and ensure continuous improvement through periodic reviews.
- Train client staff in maintaining documentation and performing regular internal checks for sustained compliance.
Incident Management & Corrective Actions
- Lead foodborne illness and contamination investigations, identify potential sources, and provide root cause analysis.
- Recommend and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence of incidents.
- Support clients in establishing robust traceability, recall, and emergency response procedures.
Regulatory and Technical Support
- Advise clients on local and international food safety regulations, including Dubai Municipality, ESMA, GSO, and Codex Alimentarius guidelines.
- Stay updated with new developments in food laws, hygiene codes, and inspection protocols, ensuring clients remain compliant.
- Provide technical consultation on food hygiene design, facility layout, pest control, and sanitation programs.
- Represent RMK Experts and its clients during municipality inspections or third-party certification audits when required.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and complete records of training, audits, and consultancy activities.
- Develop monthly and quarterly reports summarizing client progress, key observations, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and technical documents for new and existing clients.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Technology, Microbiology, or Veterinary Science (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of operational experience in the food industry, including at least 3 years in food safety consultancy, auditing, or training.
- Proven experience in developing, implementing, and auditing HACCP and ISO 22000 systems.
- Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 22000:2018 (or FSSC 22000 equivalent).
- Food Safety Level 4 and HACCP Level 3 certifications (minimum requirement).
- Certified Trainer (ToT) — approved by recognized accreditation bodies.
- Valid Municipality Approval (Dubai and/or Sharjah) to conduct food safety training.
- Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken); Arabic and Hindi language skills are a plus.
- Valid UAE driving license and flexibility to travel across all Emirates.
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous learning.
