Milling and Nutrition Company in KSA is looking for a Quality Control Officer with role involves conducting accurate laboratory analyses, maintaining precise test records, and supporting the continuous enhancement of product quality and food safety systems across the milling and nutrition operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and standard operating practices (SOPs) to maintain accuracy, reliability, and consistency in quality control operations.
  • Conduct daily laboratory activities in coordination with the production and process departments to support seamless manufacturing operations and ensure product integrity.
  • Receive, label, and register production samples according to the sampling schedule and ensure traceability throughout the testing process.
  • Perform a variety of physical, chemical, and microbiological tests on wheat, flour, bran, and feed samples using calibrated laboratory instruments (e.g., moisture, ash, gluten, protein, and falling number analysis).
  • Ensure proper storage and retention of reference samples for validation and future investigation purposes.
  • Record, review, and verify test data and analytical results for each wheat batch or flour lot, ensuring all records meet documentation and traceability requirements.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming results or deviations promptly to the Quality Supervisor or Quality Manager for corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily laboratory logbooks, worksheets, and test reports, ensuring data integrity and compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in quality processes by identifying efficiency gaps, cost-saving opportunities, and improvements aligned with international standards and best practices.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of periodic quality performance reports, trend analyses, and corrective action documentation as required by management or external authorities.
  • Comply with all food safety, occupational health, and environmental management policies to maintain a safe and compliant laboratory and production environment.
  • Ensure laboratory instruments and equipment are cleaned, calibrated, and maintained according to preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Cooperate with the Quality and Production teams during audits, inspections, and certification processes (ISO, HACCP, GMP, SASO).
  • Perform additional duties related to quality assurance, testing, or documentation as assigned by the Quality Department.
  • Operate under close supervision and in accordance with clearly defined practices and quality standards to ensure product consistency and customer satisfaction.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of laboratory experience in a food manufacturing or milling environment (flour, feed, or grain industries preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of analytical testing procedures for flour and cereals (moisture, gluten, protein, ash, color, and rheological tests).
  • Familiarity with ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and quality management documentation practices.
