Catering Events -Food Safety Officer wanted at a leading Premium corporate Catering Events -Food, for Dubai, UAE with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor daily hygiene and sanitation practices in kitchens, production areas, storage, and service stations to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Maintain temperature monitoring records for food storage, cooking, and transportation to guarantee safe food handling throughout the catering process.
- Conduct internal audits for food safety, HACCP compliance, and ISO 22000 documentation, ensuring any non-conformities are identified, reported, and resolved effectively.
- Implement and review HACCP plans, updating critical control points (CCPs) and preventive measures based on operational changes or audit findings.
- Train catering staff on topics such as personal hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, safe food handling, cleaning and sanitization protocols, and emergency food safety procedures.
- Coordinate with kitchen supervisors, production teams, and service staff to maintain consistent food quality and safety standards across all operations.
- Prepare documentation and records for external inspections, audits, and certifications by Dubai Municipality, ISO, and other regulatory authorities.
- Support management during external audits and help close any corrective actions or observations raised.
- Investigate food safety incidents, customer complaints, or non-conformities, ensuring root cause analysis and implementation of preventive actions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by introducing new hygiene practices, food safety technologies, and quality enhancement initiatives.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance within the catering industry, central kitchen, or food production facility.
- Proven knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP).
- Certification in HACCP Implementation or ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality food safety regulations, audits, and food code requirements.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to train and guide staff at all levels.
- Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced catering environment.
