A leading Food and Beverage Duvusion in Abu Dhabi, UAE is looking for a Senior, QA Inpsector with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Quality Monitoring and Inspection:
Conduct comprehensive quality checks and visual inspections at every stage of production—from the receipt of raw materials to the packaging and dispatch of finished products. Ensure that all processes meet defined quality parameters and food safety standards. - Testing and Documentation:
Record and maintain detailed reports of inspection results, deviations, and non-conformities. Prepare and update daily inspection logs, batch records, quality checklists, and release reports in accordance with company procedures and audit requirements. - Internal Audits and Compliance:
Assist the QA Supervisor and QA Manager in conducting regular internal audits of manufacturing, storage, and distribution facilities. Identify process gaps, suggest corrective and preventive actions, and verify the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
- Supplier and Material Evaluation:
Perform quality assessments of incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and supplier deliveries to ensure they meet Agthia’s quality specifications and food safety guidelines. - Process and Hygiene Verification:
Audit and inspect production lines, equipment, warehouses, and distribution trucks to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP). Coordinate with the hygiene and production teams to address any deviations immediately. - Policy Review and Improvement:
Review existing quality policies and operating procedures to ensure alignment with updated legislation, regulatory requirements, and company objectives. Recommend improvements for continuous enhancement of quality systems. - Root Cause Analysis:
Support investigations of customer complaints, product rejections, and process failures. Perform root cause analysis and work closely with the production and engineering teams to implement preventive measures.
- Training and Support:
Mentor and guide junior QA inspectors and production staff on quality control standards, product specifications, and hygiene practices. Conduct awareness sessions to reinforce compliance with ISO 22000, HACCP, and other regulatory frameworks. - Reporting and Communication:
Communicate inspection results and audit findings to management in a timely manner. Provide analytical reports on production performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
Job Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years in chocolate, sweets, or confectionery production.
- Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene standards, quality auditing procedures, and product testing methods.
- Skills:
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with production, warehouse, and logistics teams.
- Proficient in data recording, report preparation, and documentation control.
