Ready-to-eat meals FMCG company in Doha, Qatar ism looking for a QC Assistant with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and inspect daily RTE meal production activities to ensure adherence to company quality standards, HACCP, and ISO 22000 requirements.
- Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process items, packaging, and finished ready-to-eat meals to confirm compliance with food safety parameters.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining food safety management systems (HACCP, GMP, GHP, and ISO).
- Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, including inspection logs, temperature records, deviation reports, and corrective actions.
- Perform sensory evaluations and microbiological sampling of RTE meals to ensure consistency and product safety.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing records, ensuring traceability, and coordinating with the Quality and Production teams.
- Identify non-conformities in product quality and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in coordination with relevant departments.
- Ensure strict hygiene and sanitation practices are followed in all areas, particularly during food handling, cooking, packaging, and storage.
- Train and guide production staff on food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and quality awareness specific to ready-to-eat products.
- Collaborate with suppliers and logistics teams to maintain quality consistency from sourcing to final delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product shelf life, taste, and safety of RTE meals.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within the ready-to-eat meals, catering, or food manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, GHP, and food safety management systems.
- Familiar with cold chain management, product shelf-life testing, and RTE meal processing techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in detecting quality deviations.
- Proficiency in QA documentation, Microsoft Office, and data recording systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate between QA, Production, and Hygiene teams.
- Ready to join immediately (candidates currently in Qatar preferred).
