Organic Meals process company is looking for a Food Safety Officer to oversee the safety, hygiene, and quality of fresh and organic baby and kids meals in compliance with Dubai Municipality Food Code, HACCP, and UAE food safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with Foodwatch requirements, lead audits, and implement food safety systems while promoting a strong culture of food safety and operational excellence across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

Food Safety Compliance & Foodwatch Management

  • Ensure daily compliance with Dubai Municipality food safety regulations.
  • Maintain and update Foodwatch records accurately and on time.
  • Act as the primary contact during Dubai Municipality audits, inspections, and certifications.
  • Stay informed of regulatory updates from Dubai Municipality, ESMA, and international standards (Codex, WHO, FDA/EU).

HACCP Implementation & Monitoring

  • Develop, implement, and review the HACCP plan to ensure effective monitoring of all Critical Control Points (CCPs).
  • Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and mock inspections to identify and correct non-conformities.
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of food safety monitoring equipment such as thermometers and chillers.

Supplier and Ingredient Verification

  • Evaluate Organic Meals suppliers through vendor audits and review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for raw materials.
  • Maintain ingredient traceability and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Operational & Process Monitoring

  • Supervise Organic Meals food handling, cooking, storage, blast chilling, and serving operations to ensure temperature and hygiene control.
  • Monitor cold chain processes to prevent contamination and spoilage.
  • Collaborate with chefs and production teams to maintain recipe integrity, portion control, and nutritional balance.

Training & Team Development

  • Conduct staff training on PIC responsibilities, personal hygiene, allergen control, and food handling.
  • Promote awareness of cross-contamination prevention and proper hygiene practices of Kids Meals.
  • Encourage a food safety culture throughout all levels of operation.

Incident & Complaint Management

  • Investigate and document all food safety incidents, customer complaints, and non-conformances.
  • Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain thorough documentation and records for all incidents and resolutions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support digitalization of food safety records and documentation systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Meals food safety efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with management to strengthen quality assurance and customer satisfaction programs.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or hygiene supervision — preferably in catering, institutional kitchens, or baby food production.

Food Safety Certifications

  • PIC Certificate (Dubai Municipality) – Mandatory.
  • HACCP Certification or ISO 22000 Lead Auditor – Preferred.
  • First Aid / Occupational Health & Safety Certification – Added Advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality Food Code, HACCP, ISO 22000, and UAE food safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Foodwatch and other digital food safety compliance systems.
  • Ability to analyze microbiological and chemical reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Excellent documentation, record-keeping, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of ERP or food safety software is a plus.

Interpersonal & Leadership Skills

  • Strong leadership, training, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple inspections or audits efficiently.
  • Ability to stand for long periods during inspections and audits.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends or holidays when required.
