Dairy Quality Control Technician (QC) to oversee the quality and safety of dairy products, including milk powder and other processed dairy items. The role involves conducting daily quality checks, performing laboratory tests, analyzing results, and ensuring full compliance with UAE, GCC, and international food safety regulations (GSO, ESMA, Dubai Municipality/ADFCA). The QC Technician will ensure products meet company specifications and maintain high standards of hygiene, labeling, and traceability.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily quality inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished dairy products.
- Perform laboratory testing on milk powder and dairy products, including moisture, fat, acidity, protein content, and bulk density.
- Analyze test results to confirm compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of quality tests, inspections, and findings.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to implement corrective actions and uphold GMP and HACCP standards.
- Ensure correct labeling in Arabic and English and maintain full product traceability.
- Assist in internal audits and support compliance with ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and HACCP certifications.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any quality deviations.
- Stay updated on UAE and GCC food safety regulations and recommend process improvements.
Job Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Quality Control within the dairy, food manufacturing, or FMCG industry.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory testing of dairy products.
- Knowledge of UAE Food Safety Regulations, including Dubai Municipality Food Code, ESMA, and GSO standards.
- Understanding of food labeling requirements in Arabic and English.
- Ability to operate standard laboratory instruments and use MS Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, observational, and problem-solving skills (RCA).
- Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Preferred: Experience in a HACCP, ISO 22000, or FSSC 22000 certified facility.
- Relevant QC/QA certifications or Dairy Technology qualifications are a plus.
