Hiring a Food Safety & Quality Specialist in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to ensure that all food and beverage operations meet the highest safety and quality standards. The role focuses on daily monitoring, accurate documentation, and the implementation of HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP practices. By maintaining strict compliance, this position helps strengthen customer trust and uphold the company’s reputation in the food, beverage, and catering industry.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct daily monitoring of food preparation, handling, storage, and service operations to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Implement and maintain food safety policies and procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and personal hygiene standards.
- Perform inspections across production, storage, and catering service areas, recording all observations.
- Ensure the quality and safety of raw materials and finished products before release.
- Report and address any food safety or quality violations, coordinating corrective and preventive actions with relevant teams.
- Identify unsanitary conditions or equipment issues and escalate for resolution.
- Support the company during internal and external food safety audits (regulatory and client).
- Maintain up-to-date food safety records, manuals, and staff training documentation.
- Evaluate and approve suppliers based on compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Ensure accurate completion and filing of all documentation.
- Respond promptly to non-conformities, food safety concerns, and customer complaints.
- Supervise sanitation and hygiene practices in production and catering service areas.
- Assist the Quality Manager in developing and enforcing food safety and quality plans.
- Support Health & Safety (H&S) compliance in line with Saudi Arabia’s regulatory requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Biology, Food Engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety systems such as HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Strong ability to identify food safety risks and implement corrective actions.
- High attention to detail with excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- Team-oriented, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in computer applications and food safety documentation systems.
