A leading nutraceutical and dietary supplement manufacturing company in Dubai is hiring a Food Technologist (Nutraceuticals). A Female candidate with expertise in formulation, food safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance within the nutraceutical and supplement industry.

Job Responsibilities – Food Technologist

  • Formulation & Product Development:
    • Design, develop, and optimise dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, and functional food formulations to meet market needs and consumer health trends.
    • Evaluate ingredient functionality, stability, and compatibility to create safe and effective products.
    • Conduct pilot trials, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life studies to validate formulations before commercial production.
  • Quality Assurance & Control:
    • Monitor and supervise quality control processes for raw materials, in-process checks, and finished products.
    • Ensure that all products meet nutritional, functional, and regulatory requirements.
    • Work with laboratories to conduct microbiological, chemical, and physical testing of ingredients and supplements.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure all products comply with GMP, HACCP, FDA, Dubai Municipality, ESMA, and other international standards.
    • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, product specifications, Certificates of Analysis (COA), and regulatory submissions.
    • Support accurate and compliant labelling, packaging, and health claims according to local and international guidelines.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with R&D, procurement, production, and packaging teams to ensure smooth scale-up from lab to factory.
    • Provide technical guidance to production teams to maintain consistency, safety, and efficiency during manufacturing.
    • Liaise with suppliers for sourcing high-quality functional ingredients and raw materials.
  • Innovation & Market Research:
    • Stay updated with the latest nutraceutical trends, functional ingredients, and consumer health demands.
    • Research and recommend new product ideas in line with wellness, immunity, and lifestyle health categories.
    • Evaluate competitor products and contribute to the company’s new product development (NPD) pipeline.
  • Health, Safety & Hygiene Monitoring:
    • Enforce strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational safety practices across production areas.
    • Conduct internal audits, inspections, and corrective action plans to maintain high-quality standards.
    • Train production staff on GMP, HACCP, and best manufacturing practices.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or related discipline.
  • Prior experience in nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, or food manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, food safety, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and documentation skills.
