Restaurant Food Safety and Hygiene Officer wanted in Dubai, UAE with the following experience in Food Technology, Food Safety in a Restaurant expertise
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food safety and hygiene practices across all areas of restaurant operations, including kitchen, storage, and service.
- Ensure compliance with local food safety regulations (Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi Agriculture & Food Safety Authority, etc.) and international standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP.
- Conduct routine inspections and internal audits to identify potential food safety risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor food storage conditions, temperature controls, cleaning schedules, pest control measures, and sanitation practices.

- Train and guide kitchen and service staff on food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper food handling, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, records, and reports related to food safety audits, checklists, and incident investigations.
- Work closely with management and kitchen teams to resolve non-conformities and continuously improve food safety standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors and local authorities during inspections and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
- Promote a strong food safety culture within the restaurant by leading awareness programs and best practices.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Food Technology, Microbiology, Food Science, or Hospitality Management (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Food Safety & Hygiene within the F&B industry (GCC/UAE experience highly preferred).
- Previous experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality settings is strongly desirable.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety management systems, and local regulatory guidelines.
- Strong communication and training skills to effectively educate and motivate staff.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and reporting abilities.
