A Food trading and Food produce ,company in Abu Dhabi, UAE is looking for an HACCP Officer with the following:
Responsibilities
1. QHSE System Implementation & Support
- Assist in the development, implementation, and continual improvement of integrated Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management systems in alignment with ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety), and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards.
- Support operational teams in embedding QHSE practices into daily activities, ensuring a proactive safety culture across departments.
2. Safety Awareness and Training
- Promote QHSE awareness at all organizational levels through employee inductions, toolbox talks, safety briefings, awareness campaigns, and internal training sessions.
- Ensure all staff, contractors, and visitors are adequately informed and involved in safety-related programs and initiatives.

3. Documentation and Risk Assessment
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating QHSE documentation including standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, manuals, and checklists.
- Participate in conducting risk assessments and hazard identification for both routine and non-routine operations, working closely with relevant departments to implement mitigation measures.
4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Track and analyze QHSE-related key performance indicators (KPIs) on a monthly basis, including incident rates, audit findings, non-conformities, and safety training completion.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to management, identifying trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for corrective action.
5. Behavioral Safety & Workplace Audits
- Support the implementation of behavioral-based safety programs to encourage safe work practices and attitudes among employees.
- Take part in workplace inspections, safety walk-throughs, internal audits, and top-management site visits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
6. Incident Management & Investigation
- Assist in the investigation of QHSE incidents and near-misses, performing root cause analyses and preparing detailed reports.
- Monitor and follow up on the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence and ensure continuous improvement.
7. Regulatory Compliance and Government Liaison
- Serve as a liaison with local government authorities, regulatory agencies, and external auditors on all QHSE-related issues.
- Ensure organizational compliance with all applicable legal, environmental, and food safety regulations in the UAE.
- Carry out any other responsibilities or tasks assigned by the QHSE Manager or Senior Management to support the company’s safety, hygiene, and environmental objectives.
- Participate in emergency response planning and drills as required.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
- HACCP Certification (Level 3 or above) is mandatory; ISO certifications (Lead Auditor) are a plus.
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in QHSE roles, preferably within the food industry or facility management.
- Strong understanding of UAE safety regulations and international standards.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and QHSE reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
