A biscuit Production and Retail company in Dubai UAE is looking for a Quality Control and Food Safety Assistant with the following:,
Responsibilities
- Perform Quality Checks at All Stages of Production:
Regularly inspect raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to ensure they meet company standards for safety, taste, appearance, and shelf-life. - Monitor Compliance with Food Safety Standards:
Ensure that all processes align with Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines. - Support the Implementation of Quality Systems:
Assist in rolling out new food safety protocols and quality assurance procedures as per ISO and company requirements. Actively participate in improving quality systems and documentation. - Conduct Hygiene and Sanitation Inspections:
Perform routine checks on cleanliness and hygiene practices across the facility, including employee hygiene, equipment sanitation, and processing areas.

- Maintain Accurate Documentation and Records:
Record inspection results, deviations, corrective actions, and laboratory analysis in detailed logs to support traceability and audit preparedness. - Assist During Internal and External Audits:
Collaborate with audit teams by presenting records, demonstrating procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and third-party audit criteria. - Identify and Report Quality Deviations:
Detect and report any defects, non-conforming materials, or process deviations. Follow up with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in coordination with relevant teams. - Conduct Lab-Based Product Testing:
Where applicable, carry out basic laboratory tests to assess physical, chemical, or microbiological parameters of products to ensure safety and consistency. - Work Closely with Production and Maintenance Teams:
Liaise with cross-functional departments to resolve quality issues, implement changes, and maintain consistency in product quality. - Train Line Staff on Quality & Safety Practices:
Provide guidance and training to production floor staff on hygiene protocols, safe handling of food, and quality inspection procedures.
Qualifications
- Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a closely related field. - Professional Experience:
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a quality control or food safety role within a food manufacturing environment. Experience in biscuit or bakery production is highly preferred. - Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSMS, and other quality/safety standards applicable to food manufacturing. - Lab Skills:
Basic knowledge of laboratory practices such as sampling, microbiological testing, and chemical analysis of food products is an added advantage.
- Attention to Detail:
Ability to spot inconsistencies or potential hazards in raw materials, processing steps, and final products. - Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively document findings and coordinate with team members. - Problem-Solving Abilities:
Quick thinking and analytical skills to identify root causes of quality issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
