Seeking a skilled and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join a dynamic team in the food and beverage sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products and processes consistently meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. You will play a key role in implementing and maintaining food safety systems across multiple brands and categories, ensuring compliance with both local and international standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of food production, packaging, and storage areas to ensure compliance with hygiene standards and operational procedures.
  • Monitor critical control points, cleaning processes, and sanitation practices in accordance with HACCP and ISO-based systems.
  • Perform laboratory analyses including microbiological, chemical, and organoleptic testing to ensure product safety, shelf life, and quality.
  • Maintain and verify records related to temperature logs, calibration reports, hygiene checklists, and pest control schedules.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) such as HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and BRCGS.
  • Participate in and support internal and external audits, ensuring all non-conformities are addressed through effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Manage and investigate customer complaints in collaboration with production and warehouse teams; identify issues related to product quality, packaging, or storage.
  • Liaise with suppliers, warehouse teams, and logistics providers to ensure quality compliance in BRCGS-certified food storage and distribution environments.
  • Provide training and support to operations and warehouse staff on food safety and hygiene best practices.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a food manufacturing or food distribution setting.
  • Strong knowledge of international food safety standards and systems (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRCGS).
  • Experience in food lab testing (especially microbiological sampling), documentation control, and QA reporting.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite and basic QA software tools for data tracking and analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Urdu or Arabic is an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing improvements.

  • Certification in BRCGS (Food Safety or Storage & Distribution) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with quality standards for multiple food and beverage categories (e.g., dairy, meat, bakery, beverages).
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
