Gourmet Chocolate Production and Retail company in UAE is looking for a Quality Controller with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety, hygiene, and quality of all chocolate products in accordance with UAE food safety regulations and international standards.
  • Conduct regular hygiene inspections and internal audits as per HACCP, ISO, and other statutory requirements.
  • Identify non-conformities during audits and inspections, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) promptly.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain an effective Pre-Requisite Program (PRP) to support the Food Safety Management System.
  • Monitor and maintain food safety documentation and records, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance.
  • Handle customer complaints related to product safety and quality; initiate investigations and provide timely resolutions.
  • Train and supervise food handlers on basic food hygiene, personal hygiene, and food safety improvement (FSI) programs.
  • Evaluate and ensure the suitability of raw material suppliers and food contact material suppliers through proper assessment and documentation.
  • Maintain effective communication with food control authorities regarding food safety alerts, product recalls, traceability issues, and legal notifications.
  • Support production in maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and identifying potential areas for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to product and process quality improvement initiatives in chocolate production, packaging, and storage.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in one of the following disciplines:
    • Food Science & Technology
    • Microbiology
    • Hotel Management
    • Food & Agriculture
    • Veterinary Science
  • Or a Higher Diploma in a food-related field with completed training in Advanced Food Hygiene, HACCP, or Food Safety.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Quality Controller or Food Safety Incharge, preferably in the Gourmet chocolate or confectionery industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, ISO standards, and UAE food safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English – both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to join immediately is preferred.
  • Must be able to relocate or reliably commute to Ras Al Khaimah.
