Hospitality Industry in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is looking for a Food Hygiene Officer with the following experience in HACCP, Food Quality and Food Hygiene.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement, monitor, and enforce strict food safety and hygiene standards across all areas of food preparation, handling, and service.
  • Conduct routine inspections, internal audits, and spot checks of kitchen, storage, and service areas to verify compliance with HACCP guidelines and local regulatory requirements.
  • Identify non-conformities and develop corrective and preventive action plans in collaboration with kitchen and operations teams.
  • Deliver regular food safety and hygiene training sessions for kitchen, stewarding, and front-of-house staff, ensuring awareness and understanding of best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date hygiene records, inspection reports, training logs, and corrective action documentation in line with regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with local food control authorities, facilitating inspections and ensuring timely resolution of any food safety issues.
  • Support menu and process development by providing input on safe food handling, storage, and cross-contamination prevention.
  • Stay informed of updates in UAE food safety laws and industry best practices, recommending improvements as needed to maintain compliance and excellence.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in food hygiene, food safety, or quality assurance within a catering or hospitality setting.
  • Sound knowledge of HACCP principles, UAE food safety legislation, and international food hygiene standards.
  • Valid certification in Food Safety/HACCP (Level 3 or higher preferred).
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proactive and practical approach to maintaining hygiene standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and motivate staff at all levels.
  • Experience in preparing clear inspection reports and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond swiftly to urgent hygiene matters.
