A leading Food Flavour Manufacturing Company in Dubai is hiring a Food Safety Team Leader (FSTL) QA Operations with the following:
Responsibilities
Food Safety and Certification Management
- Act as the Food Safety Team Leader for implementing, maintaining, and updating the FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with food safety certifications such as FSSC 22000, Halal, and local municipality standards.
- Lead and coordinate external and internal audits, including third-party certifications and inspections from local authorities.
- Conduct risk assessments, internal audits, and management reviews as part of the food safety program.
Documentation & Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, SOPs, and records related to food safety and quality, in line with FSSC and Halal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with UAE food laws, GSO standards, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Maintain logs for corrective actions, preventive actions, and deviation records as part of the continuous improvement process.
Production & Operations Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure alignment with food safety and quality objectives.
- Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and other operational parameters to ensure consistency and product integrity.
- Plan and manage production schedules, raw material flow, and workforce allocation to meet demand efficiently.
- Ensure that incoming raw materials, flavouring agents, blending components, and final products meet defined quality specifications.
Plant Maintenance & Coordination
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and equipment modifications.
- Maintain logs related to equipment downtime, plant shutdowns, and maintenance activities.
- Drive efforts to minimize downtime and enhance continuous production efficiency.
New Product Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D, Production, and QA teams in the development, testing, and commercialization of new flavour products.
- Contribute to the implementation of new standards, certifications, or customer-specific requirements as needed.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Promote and ensure safe work practices across plant operations, raw material handling, and equipment usage.
- Train staff on hygiene practices and safety protocols to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Monitor the safety performance and recommend improvements where necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Biotechnology, or Food Microbiology.
- In-depth knowledge of flavour manufacturing processes, seasoning blends, and food safety standards.
- Strong command over FSSC 22000, Halal, GMP, and HACCP practices.
- Proficiency in documentation management, audit handling, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
