Oat-based product manufacturing company in Dubai UAE, is looking for a Quality Controller Manager with the following:
Job Responsibilites
- Implement and maintain food safety systems including HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and local regulatory standards.
- Conduct routine quality inspections at critical points across the production, packaging, and storage process to ensure compliance with food safety and product quality standards.
- Investigate non-conformities or customer complaints and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
- Maintain and regularly update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality assurance documentation, and internal audit records.
- Monitor and record Critical Control Points (CCPs), conduct internal audits, and support external audits (municipality, third-party certifications).
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure strict adherence to hygiene and sanitation protocols.
- Deliver training sessions for production staff on food hygiene, safety, and QA procedures to maintain a culture of food safety.
Research & Development (R&D):
- Develop, trial, and refine new oat-based product recipes, including overnight oats, granola, protein mixes, and other functional foods.
- Conduct sensory evaluations, shelf-life studies, and stability testing to ensure high product performance and customer satisfaction.
- Modify existing formulations to improve taste, nutrition profile, shelf life, and cost-efficiency while maintaining clean-label and gluten-free attributes.
- Source and evaluate new ingredients or superfoods that align with brand values such as natural, high-protein, and plant-based nutrition.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor products to fuel innovation and keep Oatful ahead of the curve.
- Work closely with production to scale up kitchen recipes to commercial production batches, ensuring consistency and feasibility.
- Prepare detailed recipe documentation, technical specs, and product labels in compliance with regulatory standards.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Culinary Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in both Quality Assurance and Product Development within the food industry (preferably in oats, health foods, or clean-label products).
- Strong knowledge of food safety systems, including HACCP, GMP, ISO standards, and local food regulations (UAE / GCC region preferred).
- Experience conducting shelf-life testing, sensory panels, and scaling recipes from R&D to production.
- In-depth understanding of ingredient functionality, food allergens, gluten-free formulation, and nutritional labeling requirements.
- Proficiency in maintaining QA records, conducting audits, and generating technical product documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.
