A hypermarket Chain in Dubai UAE is looking for a Quality and Hygiene Associate with the following: Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.

Job Resposnibilites

Quality and Food Safety Compliance:

  • Assist in analyzing quality and food safety standards to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Implement and monitor corrective actions based on internal and external audit findings.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality and hygiene procedures across all store operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of food handling, storage, and preparation areas to maintain hygiene standards.

Regulatory Compliance & Documentation

  • Stay updated on food safety laws and regulatory changes and implement necessary updates to store operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of food safety incidents, compliance reports, and corrective actions taken.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO, HACCP, and other relevant food safety certifications.

Storage & Waste Management:

  • Monitor the storage of fresh and perishable food products to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Ensure food storage meets the temperature control, handling, and cross-contamination prevention guidelines.
  • Supervise the segregation, storage, and disposal of food waste in compliance with environmental and hygiene regulations.
  • Identify and report any deviations in food safety and waste management practices.
  • Conduct food safety and hygiene training sessions for staff involved in food handling and waste management.
  • Raise awareness on best practices for hygiene, allergen management, and cross-contamination prevention.

Job Qualifications

Advertisements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in food quality control, hygiene, or food safety roles within retail or food manufacturing industries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
  • ISO certification (ISO 22000, HACCP, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards, quality control processes, and regulatory requirements.

Quality Officer : Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to train and coordinate with staff.
  • Strong planning and analytical skills to identify quality gaps and suggest improvements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring strict compliance with hygiene regulations.
