A Milk Powder Processing and Distributor company in Dubai UAE is looking for a Quality Assurance Officer with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Periodically review food safety procedures to ensure they align with regulatory and industry standards.
- Manage the Food Safety Team to implement and maintain FSMS processes.
- Oversee compliance with FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP, and Organic Certification requirements.
- Ensure the effective implementation of Prerequisite Programs (PRPs) and monitor compliance.
- Conduct hazard analysis and oversee risk assessments in food processing and handling.
- Review and approve changes to FSMS-related procedures and work instructions.
- Supervise HACCP reviews and FSSC 22000 Management Review Meetings (MRM).
Supplier & Vendor Management:
- Evaluate and monitor supplier food safety systems and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Ensure that inspection requirements are included in purchase orders.
- Review all rejections by the Food Inspector and take corrective action.

Internal Audits & Corrective Actions:
- Lead internal food safety audits, including selecting audit personnel and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Report on corrections and corrective actions in Management Review meetings.
- Analyze food safety issues and recommend improvements based on audit findings.
- Confirm nonconformities and determine the disposition of nonconforming materials.
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement:
- Collect, analyze, and publish measurement data to identify and address food safety issues.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to food quality and safety.
- Supervise product recalls and assess the effectiveness of corrective actions.
Training & Awareness
- Promote awareness of customer requirements related to food safety across all departments.
- Conduct food safety training for employees to enhance compliance with standards.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in food quality assurance, food safety, or compliance in the food industry.
- Hands-on experience with FSMS, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and ISO 22000 implementation.
- Experience in supplier audits and vendor management related to food safety.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSSC 22000, and ISO 22000 standards.
- Familiarity with Organic Certification requirements is a plus.
- Well-trained in food safety management systems and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
