Palm Jumeirah Dubai UAE is hiring a Hygiene Officer with the following responsibilities at Palm Jumeirah Dubai:

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and kitchen workers at Palm Jumeirah Dubai.
  • Determine food presentation style and create decorative food displays at Palm Jumeirah Dubai.
  • Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food items to be served.
  • Monitor the quantity of food prepared to prevent wastage.
  • Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and unavailable menu items in a Luxurious Hotel Chain.
  • Prepare special meals or substitute items as needed.
  • Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks and provide needed items.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels of kitchen supplies and food items.
  • Maintain kitchen logs for the food safety program and food product records.
  • Ensure the quality of food items, notifying management of non-compliance with specifications.

  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and coaching employees.
  • Adhere to safety and security policies, reporting maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain a clean, professional uniform and personal appearance.
  • Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Address guests’ service needs promptly and professionally.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and other departments.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and expectations.
  • Perform physical tasks, such as standing, sitting, bending, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, and other movements as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen or food preparation environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to create decorative and visually appealing food displays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to address guest needs and collaborate with team members at Palm Jumeirah Dubai.
  • Ability to manage stock levels and maintain inventory records.
  • Physical stamina to perform extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Leadership skills to train, motivate, and evaluate staff effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate kitchen activities and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Ability to follow company policies, and safety protocols, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to perform various tasks as required.
