Food Quality Controller -FMCG, UAE

A large FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) Company in Abu Dhabi, UAE is hiring a Food Quality Controller with the following:

Job Responsibilities

• Perform Inspection of Incoming Raw materials and raise Nonconformities to Suppliers.
• Perform re-sampling of finished and semi-finished products based on request to the high-quality Control of produce.
• Control SOP standards in the production process and evaluate/monitor deviations.
• Monitoring Housekeeping during process & SSOP before startup of production
• Monitoring Quality programs, GMPs and documentation.

• Proper Documentation handling including CCP files (Metal detectors & X-rays).    
• To perform Sensory evaluation and monitoring of specific parameters for Global Client Beef and Chicken products during production.    
• Provide support for the Quality assurance team to improve the Food Safety Management System.    
• Suggest improvements to the Production team to comply with FSMS and balance productivity at the same time
• Support Production/Quality Analyst to track/manage Quality and food safety-related deviations.

• Report Food Safety and/or Food defense related deviations, and any suspicious activity 
• Train Quality control team related to changes in the Food Safety management system, and Global Accounts Sensory evaluation
• Organize the manpower and create a working schedule for the Support team.
• Suggest and implement improvements in quality program execution and documentation.
• Support Production Supervisor for procedure and monitoring form revision
• Participate in food safety and quality-related PDCA.
• Follow up on the status of proposed corrective actions with department representatives.
• Ensure proper documentation of quality programs using fmcg distribution software.

Job Qualifications

• Technical Diploma or Graduate in Food Manufacturing/ Microbiology/Chemistry or veterinary sciences.
• Minimum 3 years of experience preferably in FMCG or related field with experience of leading teams(Quality).
• English: Business proficiency.
