Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and conduct regular checks to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist in the preparation and testing of food samples using various techniques such as chromatography, microscopy, and spectrophotometry.
- Maintain accurate records of all experiments and tests conducted.
- Support scientists in data analysis and preparation of reports.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in the laboratory.
- Keep inventory of necessary supplies and place orders when needed.
- Assist in the calibration and validation of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the laboratory.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to the lead scientist on time.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a food-related field.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Familiarity with quality control and assurance processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis software.
