An International Fast Food Chain Restaurant is hiring an Associate Manager for Quality Assurance with the following:
Responsibilities
- Develops, updates, and implements programs, procedures, and actions for compliance with Company standards and relevant government/regulatory requirements, under the direction of the Associate Manager Quality Assurance.
- Owns execution of the company’s International physical and virtual auditing program for assigned territory, ensuring tasks are accomplished by the Manager Quality Assurance.
- Ensures consistent manufacturing, supply, and distribution of products in compliance with quality standards, specifications, regulations, and sanitation requirements, working closely with the Associate Manager QA.
- Proactively identifies opportunities and approves process improvements.
- Provides technical support for the commercialization and manufacture of products for selected markets.
- Monitors contract laboratories, consulting firms, and external sources for product evaluation, nutritional data, manufacturing procedures, and sanitation levels.
- Updates specifications and lab evaluation procedures for assigned products.
- Schedules and conducts investigations of food processors and distributors.
- Develops solutions and takes appropriate actions to address and resolve potential product quality issues.
- Provides status updates to QA management on the continued use of Wendy’s suppliers and distributors based on their adherence to company specifications and standards, coordinated by the Associate Manager Quality Assurance.
- Makes recommendations to QA management regarding the approval of new and second-source suppliers.
- Offers Technical Services assistance, advice, and solutions for new product specifications and processing procedures.
Qualifications
- Educational background in Food Science, Microbiology, or Animal Science.
- Knowledge of food science, HACCP, food processing technology, equipment, and microbiology is essential for an Associate Manager Quality Assurance role.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in food processing QA or Operations.
- Experience in prior restaurant brand or industrial food manufacturing R&D and product commercialization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Bilingual proficiency is a requirement for the candidate.
