A leading Supply Chain Limited _ Food and Beverages in Dubai, UAE is looking for a Research And Development Specialist specialising in Meat with the following:
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the sales team and customer on meat applications, and food ingredients R&D projects and executing them timely.
- Travel to customers across GCC and certain African markets, increase the relationship with customers and handle their projects independently.
- Acquire product knowledge of ingredients from different suppliers and develop solutions for the customers whenever necessary.
- Aligning with the principal/suppliers, understanding the new areas of interest in the meat industry or relevant to it and applying accordingly.
- Able to do trials and troubleshoot at customer place.
- Maintaining reports and projects of all suppliers and customers.
- Proactively developing the solutions pertaining to the meat market, products and doin concept shows.
- Working in the meat lab and maintaining lab equipment in proper condition.
- Doing presentations and training for the sales team and the customers.
- Managing innovation days with customers.
Qualifications
- Preferably a Food Science/Food technologist graduate Or Hotel and Catering Industry (Meat processing will be an added advantage)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the food industry and with min 3 years from the Meat industry or Ingredients.
- Application skill set in the meat industry and willing to travel around 30%.
- Knowledge of meat ingredients and products knowledge of cold cuts in frozen meat, seasonings, marinades, and coatings.
- Excellent with MS Office such as Excel, word, PowerPoint plus Outlook.
- Proactive and customer-centric.
- Effective verbal/writing communication skills in English & Arabic are a plus.
