Dairy Technologist

Responsibilities

• Monitor the overall processing activities of the production to ensure customer orders are scheduled, produced, and stored to meet the requirements.
• Manage production areas of the plant including shift, production planning, processing, packaging, quality, and safety.
• Comply with Quality standards: Ensure that the finished products meet the established product specifications and quality standards as defined by the Quality Assurance Team
• Cost Control: Responsible for efficiently utilizing labour, materials, Loss in process and direct overhead costs.
• Process Optimization: Continuously analyse the production process to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Staffing: Ensure an optimized workforce in terms of time, quantity and quality.
• Schedule Management: Ensure a guaranteed processing and production operation.
• Be aware of the weekly & 3 month forward rolling production plans and liaise with the equipment and smooth and fast filling phase.
• To ensure that daily working practices meet with current HSE legislation/ BRC requirements, operate within the Company’s quality/ health & safety procedures, provide feedback, or escalate matters as required.
• Organize all activities & assign jobs accordingly for staff for shift works
•  Work and assist with the Production Lead to produce KPI information and control documentation for use in tracking and improving performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food or Dairy Technology.
• Relevant experience and enthusiasm in the above duties.
