Job Description (Application Closed)
- Responsible for analyzing the samples as assigned by the Assistant Manager or his/ her designee.
- Responsible for preparation and storage of the reagents and other chemicals required for the routine analysis.
- Responsible for the daily/ weekly/ monthly checks as assigned by the Assistant Manager/ Lab Manager.
- Responsible for QC check as and when necessary.
- Responsible for standardization of prepared reagents required for the analysis.
- Responsible for keeping the relevant records of analysis up to date.
- Responsible for the proper handling of test items and its storage.
- Responsible for the internal calibration and verification of instruments.
- Responsible for the preparation of working standards required for analysis.
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Lab at all times.
- Responsible for maintaining the requirements of international standard ISO/ IEC 17025, local government requirements, GLP and other relevant Laboratory safety standards.
- Responsible for the verification/ validation study as assigned by the Assistant Manager/ Lab Manager.
- Responsible for notifying the non-conformances to the Lab Manager and associating with the follow up action.
Professional qualifications
- University degree in Chemistry and/or relevant Technical qualification
- With knowledge related to his/her field of expertise (Product design, manufacturing, testing, product research and specification).
- Knowledge and excellent background of relevant working Schemes.
- Preferably with background on the following fields:
- Conformity assessment (accreditation systems, product certification, product testing, inspection protocols and industrial metrology)
- Industrial standardization concepts including international standards development and implementation, i.e. ISO, IEC, EN, ANSI, ASTM etc.
- Quality management system, e.g.: ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 17025 or similar systems.
Experience / Technical Knowledge
- Decisive, Assertive and Results Oriented
- Good communication skills
- Fluent in English and any other languages is an advantage
- Applies judgment and acts according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity
