Quality Assurance Officer

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure all healthy vegan snacks, healthy vegetarian snacks, and vegan healthy treats meet quality and safety standards in compliance with local and international food regulations.
• Implement and maintain HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 standards in the production of vegan diet snacks and vegetarian diet snacks.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Develop and monitor quality control procedures to maintain consistency in taste, texture, and nutritional value of vegan and vegetarian snacks.
• Investigate and address customer complaints and non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to improve formulations and ensure the best quality for vegan-friendly snack products.
• Maintain and update quality documentation, including SOPs, test reports, and compliance records.
• Train production staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality control measures.
• Ensure proper labeling and packaging compliance, including ingredient declarations and allergen management.
• Stay updated on food safety regulations and market trends in plant-based snacks and health-conscious snacking.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within the healthy snacks, vegan food, or plant-based food industry.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and Dubai Municipality food safety regulations.
• Experience in handling vegan and vegetarian product certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with nutritional labeling, food allergens, and food microbiology testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
