Job Responsibilities

Perform biochemical tests and analyses on samples such as blood, tissue, food, water, or pharmaceuticals following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Prepare, label, and maintain chemical reagents, buffers, and test solutions accurately.
Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments such as spectrophotometers, centrifuges, pH meters, and autoanalyzers.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of biological samples and chemical materials as per lab safety standards.
Record and analyze test results, maintain laboratory logs, and prepare reports for supervisors or scientists.
Assist in method validation, troubleshooting of assays, and maintenance of equipment logs.
Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and internal quality assurance procedures.
Participate in internal audits, proficiency testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain clean and organized workspaces, following hygiene and biosafety protocols.
Support senior scientists or lab managers in research or routine testing activities as required.

Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related Life Sciences field.
Experience: 0–3 years of laboratory experience (internships, academic labs, or industry).
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with biochemical assays (e.g., protein estimation, enzyme activity, glucose assays).
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment and data interpretation.
- Knowledge of safety standards (ISO 15189, ISO 17025, or GLP is a plus).
Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and lab software (e.g., LIMS).
Soft Skills:
- Attention to detail and precision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and work under supervision.
