Job Responsibilities

  1. Plan and Deliver Lessons:
    • Develop engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
    • Incorporate real-world examples, lab experiments, and visual aids to enhance learning.
  2. Facilitate Practical Learning:
    • Conduct laboratory sessions to demonstrate scientific principles.
    • Ensure all lab activities are performed safely and ethically.
  3. Assess Student Performance:
    • Prepare, administer, and grade tests, quizzes, and assignments.
    • Provide constructive feedback to students to support academic growth.
  4. Encourage Scientific Curiosity:
    • Promote inquiry-based learning and critical thinking in students.
    • Inspire interest in biology, human anatomy, environmental science, and related topics.
  5. Maintain Records:
    • Document attendance, academic performance, and behavior records.
  6. Classroom Management:
    • Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order.
  7. Stay Updated:
    • Keep abreast of scientific advancements and integrate them into classroom discussions.
    • Participate in workshops, teacher training, and academic events.
  8. Support Activities:
    • Contribute to science fairs, exhibitions, and extracurricular activities.
    • Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, or Biochemistry, Biotechnology a related field.
    • B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is preferred .
  • Certifications (if applicable):
    • Valid teaching license or state/national-level teaching certification.
    • curriculum training is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 1–3 years of experience in teaching science.
  • Key Skills:
    • Strong grasp of biological and life science concepts.
    • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
    • Proficiency in using smart boards, digital tools, and virtual teaching platforms.
    • Patience, adaptability, and creativity in teaching methods.
