Job Responsibilities
- Plan and Deliver Lessons:
- Develop engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
- Incorporate real-world examples, lab experiments, and visual aids to enhance learning.
- Facilitate Practical Learning:
- Conduct laboratory sessions to demonstrate scientific principles.
- Ensure all lab activities are performed safely and ethically.
- Assess Student Performance:
- Prepare, administer, and grade tests, quizzes, and assignments.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support academic growth.
- Encourage Scientific Curiosity:
- Promote inquiry-based learning and critical thinking in students.
- Inspire interest in biology, human anatomy, environmental science, and related topics.
- Maintain Records:
- Document attendance, academic performance, and behavior records.
- Classroom Management:
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order.
- Stay Updated:
- Keep abreast of scientific advancements and integrate them into classroom discussions.
- Participate in workshops, teacher training, and academic events.
- Support Activities:
- Contribute to science fairs, exhibitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary projects.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, or Biochemistry, Biotechnology a related field.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is preferred .
- Certifications (if applicable):
- Valid teaching license or state/national-level teaching certification.
- curriculum training is a plus.
- Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in teaching science.
- Key Skills:
- Strong grasp of biological and life science concepts.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in using smart boards, digital tools, and virtual teaching platforms.
- Patience, adaptability, and creativity in teaching methods.
